Often when I go to teach etiquette the kids are scared stiff because they perceive etiquette to be something stuffy, outdated, stogy or plain uppity....that is always exciting for me because once I began teaching the eyes of the girls light up and excitement exudes from them. I break the ice with letting it first be known that etiquette is not about embarrassment nor is it all about being prim and proper. It's simply about grace and graciousness.
