WHAT AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
YES! I had the most incredible weekend Empresses. It was pure BLISS. My birthday was on 08/08/08 a blessed day in my life. I was in awe all day long. I am so grateful to God to be alive and in the best of health. I cried with tears of joy and laughed like it was nobodies business. I am thankful for my life and the God I serve! Yes, Lord! YES! As you can see above I also had the great opportunity to meet one of my favorite people in the world. My girl Tasha Smith who starred in the movie WHY DID I GET MARRIED? Yes, Tasha Smith herself. I spent my Saturday at The My Black is Beautiful Tour and was extremely astounded by the event. It was a day of empowerment for all of the women in attendance with massages, gift bags, tee-shirts, art, yoga, manicures and a room for sisters to gather and talk. Included was a panel of wonderful speakers who encouraged our sisters to press forward with their dreams, build self-esteem and embrace their inner beauty. Some of the best vocalist were there also to enlighten us with live entertainment. Such as, Chrisette Michele, Raheem DeVaughn and more. They showed out and turned it out.
Tasha Smith did an awesome job speaking. Her story of where she started and has now arrived has been a huge inspiration. The event was one to never be forgotten! Please excuse my facial expression in the picture Empresses but Tasha had just finished praying for me and it was an emotional moment. Empresses be on the look out for more of Tasha Smith on the scene. I'll be sure to keep you posted.
